What Does It Include

RUNNER READINESS ASSESSMENT

What is it?

A Runner Readiness Assessment, based on the methodology used by runDNA, is a structured evaluation that looks at how your body moves, stabilizes, and produces force for running. The goal is to identify weaknesses or movement patterns that could affect performance or increase injury risk.

Why This Assessment?

Discover what’s holding you back
Identify strength imbalances, mobility restrictions, and movement inefficiencies that limit speed and power.

Reduce injury risk before it stops your training
Catch small issues early — before they turn into missed weeks or months.

Get data you can actually use
Walk away with clear, personalized insights — not generic advice.

Train with confidence
Know your body can handle the mileage, intensity, and race prep ahead.

Unlock your next level
Build the strength and resilience that supports faster splits and stronger finishes.

LOADING LEVEL ASSESSMENT

What is it?

The Loading Level Assessment evaluates how much physical stress a runner’s body can safely tolerate. Instead of just looking at movement quality, this assessment measures a runner’s capacity to handle impact, force, and training volume.

Single-leg strength tests:

  • Single-leg squats

  • Step-downs

  • Split squats

Impact tolerance tests:

  • Repeated hopping

  • Single-leg hopping

  • Landing control

Endurance-based loading

  • Repeated movements that mimic the fatigue of running

Why This Assessment?

Benefits of a 3D Running Analysis

A 3D running analysis uses advanced motion-capture technology to objectively assess how your body moves while running. It identifies inefficiencies and injury risk factors that can’t be seen with the naked eye and provides personalized recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and long-term durability.

Many running injuries occur not because of poor movement but because training load increases faster than the body can adapt.

A Loading Level Assessment helps ensure that:

  • Muscles and tendons can handle repetitive impact

  • Strength levels support running mechanics

  • Training progression happens safely and strategically

By understanding a runner’s current loading capacity, we can help runners train harder when they’re ready and avoid setbacks when they’re not.

Gait Analysis

This will look at how a runner moves throughout the running gait cycle. The two main phases of running are stance phase (foot is on the ground) and swing phase (foot is off the ground). We can further break down the running gait cycle into initial contact (when the foot his the ground), mid-stance phase (when the foot is ~halfway through stance phase) and terminal stance phase (sometimes called toe off or take off).

Reduce Stress

Running with better form can offer various benefits, from making running more enjoyable to reducing risk of injuries. Running with better form can offer various benefits, from making running more enjoyable to reducing the risk of injuries. Changing running form can even address specific injuries, such as knee pain.

Gait Category

Each category’s program consists of a gait retraining program with walk/run and graded feedback. Adapting to the new form with a gradual approach has been shown to produce better results that last. These categories include: Overstrider, Collapser, Weaver, Bouncer, and Glute Amnesiac.
