Carl was born in Salisbury, Maryland, at Suzie’s Doxies on October 31, 2025. A Halloweenie indeed! He was later adopted by Lenny and Ashely in December as a Christmas present and now calls Fells Point, Maryland, home.

You can find Carl hanging around Outlast on Wednesdays (aka Weiner Wednesdays!) and making other special appearances. You might hear him before you see him, as he takes his job of protecting everyone inside very seriously. Carl can be a little shy at first, but once he gets a good sniff of you, you’ll officially have his approval!

When he’s not busy guarding the gym, Carl loves chasing leaves and playing with his favorite orange ball. When he and Oakley are together, things get a little more chaotic. One of his favorite activities is jumping all over her like she’s a trampoline! And while Carl may have short legs, don’t let them fool you. He knows exactly how to use them to his advantage, especially when there are plastic cups or unattended food within reach. He may try to convince you to share your snacks or give him a treat, but can you really blame him? He’s only 10 pounds!

Once Carl warms up to you, his shy side disappears, and his cuddly side takes over. He’ll seek out any lap that looks remotely comfortable and settle in for a nap that could last for hours. Personal space? Not really his thing. If there’s a cozy spot available, Carl will find it!

Whether he’s chasing leaves, keeping watch over the gym, getting into mischief with Oakley, or curling up in someone’s lap for a much-needed nap, Carl brings plenty of personality, entertainment, and tiny-but-mighty energy to Outlast.
